L'Esprit Jean Claude Dufour

L'Esprit is an open-air restaurant serving a globally inspired menu that changes daily to incorporate the freshest available local ingredients. Former Eden Rock chef Jean Claude Dufour developed his interest in the culinary arts while working in his family’s Bordeaux France catering business. Following his passion, Jean Claude studied gastronomy and worked under numerous renowned French chefs before arriving at St. Barths, where his following and reputation grew over two decades. Jean Claude’s dream to establish his own restaurant was realized in 2011 with the debut of L’Esprit; rooted in traditional French culinary techniques enriched by exotic flavors and creative interpretations. L’Esprit is also known for its romantic garden setting, with only twenty tables set on a teak deck surrounded by flowers and coconut palms.
